We re proud of the philanthropic work we do to promote health and well-being around the world through Covidien Cares, our global giving and community outreach program. We make financial grants, donate medical products and support our employees volunteer efforts in the communities where we live and work.
Support that helps millions
Covidien Cares works with nonprofit organizations in more than 20 countries by providing resources to aid local programs that provide care and treatment to people in need. We donate Covidien products to help emergency relief and humanitarian aid efforts around the world. We collaborate with nonprofit organizations and local community service agencies through employee volunteer support. Partner organizations include Operation Smile, Partners in Health, Direct Relief International and the National Association of Community Health Care Centers.
Time well spent
Covidien Cares supports employees and the causes important to them through our matching gift program, community service activities, our Volunteer Incentive Program grants and employee workplace giving. Thousands of our employees volunteer every year with increasing numbers joining in.
Active locally and globally
With the help of Covidien Community Liaisons in more than 70 locations around the world, we provide funding, product donations and volunteers with the mission of affording our neighbors greater access to quality healthcare. Already we ve awarded more than 500 grants, including a recent major donation to Partners in Health to build a new hospital in Haiti.
Good Corporate Citizenship
Our key product donation partners AmeriCares, Direct Relief International and MedShare distribute our products to nonprofit organizations and in-country clinics around the world so we can quickly and efficiently respond to disasters, provide humanitarian aid and support programs for underserved populations. Through AmeriCares Medical Outreach Program, we also donate products to US healthcare professionals providing volunteer care in developing countries.
