The next step to become a real estate agent in Arizona is to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card by completing a Department of Public Safety (DPS) application packet. It will cost $69.00 to process your fingerprint card. It’s important to do this early because fingerprint cards can take 5 to 8 weeks to process. You will need one to become a real estate agent in Arizona.
You can also obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and be fingerprinted at a real estate school or an outside fingerprinting facility authorized to do fingerprinting. The fingerprint card cannot be bent, folded or damaged in anyway or it may be rejected.
Step 4 – Pass The School Final Examination
After you complete your 90 hours of “in classroom” real estate sales person pre-licensing education through an approved school, you will have to take a school final examination to become a real estate agent in Arizona.
Most schools will offer review courses to help you pass the test. Once you pass the school test you will receive a certification of completion or exam score report to present to the Arizona Department of Real Estate.
Step 5 – Pass The Arizona State National Real Estate Exam

Step 6 – Take The 6 Hour Introduction to Contract Writing Course
The Arizona Department of Real Estate requires that those who want to become a real estate in Arizona must complete a 6 hour course entitled Introduction to Contract Writing . This course will help you write contracts, which is an important part of becoming a real estate agent.
Once you pass this class, you will receive a certificate of completion which is required to apply for a license to become an Arizona real estate agent.
Step 7 – Apply For an Arizona Real Estate License
Once you pass the Arizona State Real Estate Exam, you will be issued a passing score report. This report will be your application for licensure and will be issued at the test site. You must apply for a license within one year of passing the examination to become a real estate agent in Arizona.

Step 8 Hire On With A Broker
The final step to becoming a real estate agent in Arizona is to hire on with a Broker.
Once you find a broker that fits your career needs and personality, you must notify the Arizona Department of Real Estate by completing the Hire as a Salesperson Form (Complete form LI-202) or hire on with a Broker online for a reduced fee.
